Alessandra Bosco
Feature and Interview

Hello Alessandra, I'm flattered you accepted to be
interviewed for THE HUQ!, to start this interview off, please give me some
background information.
Hello, I am a glamour/lingerie model from Verona, Northen Italy. I started
modeling at 16 years old. I also worked as a model in the States where I lived
for 11 years. Among my accomplishments, I have been published in US and Italian
newspapers, online mens magazines, print mens magazines and I have produced and
created a lingerie/military themed 2009 calendar called "weapon of mass
distraction" that was sold in US military facilities worldwide.
How did you initially decide to get into glamour modeling? What was the
catalyst to you making this decision?
Since I am not tall enough for fashion/runway modeling several people in the
industry saw that I had the right body for lingerie, swimsuit and glamour
photos.
What has 2010 been like for you in terms of modeling work? So far so
good, I was able to be featured in a few other publications.
Eye candy and Modeling, is there a difference to you?
Lots of difference! "Eye candy" is just that. A model is someone who knows how
to bring her "eye candy" to a professional level, someone who is ambitious,
makes sacrificies and knows how to market that "eye candy".
Alessandra, you have a refined, voluptuous physique that elicits a high
degree of pleasure from one's aesthetic senses, I'm curious to know what does
your diet and exercise regimen consist of?
Thank you! I do not deprive myself of anything. I do not believe in diets.
Moderation is the key, I also try to avoid junk food and sodas. I exercise
daily.
Women with nice bodies and cute faces are notorious for being brainwashers
(you know the saying "never trust a nice shape and a smile" ). Are there times
you've used your voluptuousness to manipulate men or situations to your
advantage? If so, can you give us an example?
I am usually placed in first class by rich businessman when I fly alone. Before
boarding my ticket gets magically changed and I don't even have to have much of
a conversation.
How would you describe the image that comes across when people look at your
photos?
Hopefully, they see a sensual, smart woman.
What experience do you value more and attain more personal satisfaction from
as a model: the creative process behind an intimate collaboration with a
talented photographer, make-up artist and/or designer OR seeing the reaction
from your family, friends and fans as they bare witness to the finished product?
Definitely the reaction from fans, family and fans.
How fair is the modeling world to women in the grand scheme of things? Is
there any room for growth?
There is always room for growth, for example it would be an improvement to stop
thinking that models are just superficial, vain and plain dumb.
There are a lot of misconceptions or stereotypes about models. Does that
stigma follow you?
After a few minutes talking to me everyone understands that they are dealing
with a "complete package" of beauty and brains. I also have several degrees.
Being able to market myself and have created and produced my own calendar sold
worldwide, pretty much means I am not that stupid after all..
But you're aware of the misconceptions. Which would you say is the worst?
Thinking a model is easy just because she looks good and shoots half
naked..Instead, it simply means I am doing my job!
What is controversial and unique about you?
I am very straight forward,I do not like tabus, I say what I think and I do not
worry about what others think.
What would you say sets you apart from other women in the same field, with
similar goals?
I believe I am different because I am not afraid to speak up as I mentioned
above. This is a competitive field, only the strong willed survive and you need
to be able to show strength, poise and aggression all at once.
Do you place any limitations on yourself in terms of what you will and will
not do in this industry to succeed, or do you have a ‘by any means necessary I
will get mine in the 21st century’ attitude?
I believe in succeeding through hard work and because it's deserving. I won't
fall into compromises or cheap tricks just to be "helped" in the industry like
most do. Real talent will eventually be recognized and only those who went about
it in a serious way will stick around.
For all of the people, photographers, agencies and
companies seeing you for the first time who will want to gain more information
about you, tell them where they can go to see and read about some of your past,
present and future projects?
