Heidi Dupre Interview

Hi Heidi, can you introduce yourself to our readers please?
Hi, my name is Heidi Dupre and you may have seen me in car magazines such as
Lowrider, Streetlow, Garage, etc... or on the small screen.
What got you interested in modeling?
My first modeling gig was when I was like 7 for a Girlscout calendar but I got
back into it when I was 17 and was recruited to model for a runway show for SF
Weekly for a boutique named Rosalie's. It was the best.
To date, what would you say is your greatest modelling accomplishment?
I would definitely say being on the cover of Lowrider was an amazing
acheivement. It's a wonderful, national publication and I was proud to represent
them. I also love doing shows, Vegas, LA, OC, SF and meeting my fans. That's
really exciting. Plus doing independant films and doing Spanish tv has also been
great.
How does your personality fit within the entertainment business?
I'm very independant and self motivated so I think that really works well in the
entertainment industry. You have to do your part too. It can't just be your
agents doing all the work..
What stereotypes about models do you feel are unfairly placed on you?
I think that alot of people assume models are dumb and the truth is, the
majority are not!
So, have you had any bad experiences with photographers, film directors or
celebrities coming onto you?
Most have been excellent but there has been a couple perv photographers but
they'll go nameless. Once they see that you're not gonna put out, they drop it
(giggles). That's the street in me
How has your look evolved over the years and what would you say is your
greatest asset?
Oh man, I've been blonde, brunette, black haired, tan, pale, you name it. But I
would say that my best assets are probably my eyes or my legs..
Most guys only dream about dating a superhot model/actress. What advice do you
have to give them about meeting / dating someone of your calibre?
I would tell them that models are just like regular people. Men get nervous
approaching models/actresses so it's normally the players that have the guts to
ask you out. Nice guys have a chance, but they need to be less shy. My boyfriend
now is a really nice guy. He's not an entertainer, he works in finance. I think
it's good to have a balance so when you come home it's not all about the
"industry"
What is the worst and best pick-up lines you have ever heard?
Haha, my fave bad line was, "was your dad an astronaut? Because he put the stars
from the sky and put them in your eyes." I kid you not , I really heard this.
Do you consider yourself to be high maintenance?
I'm not gonna lie, yes I am. I
work hard, so I've earned my high-maintenance.
Where can we find you on a
typical weekend, if you aren't doing a photoshoot?
Traveling, reading,swimming,
cooking (i'm a really good cook), going dancing with the girls.
What are some of your upcoming projects?
I'm shooting a calendar in June in San Diego and I'm shooting in Honolulu in
May. I'm also working on building my esthetician business. I'm a licensed esthi
(so I can do facials, chemical peels, etc...) Lastly, where do you see yourself
in 5 - 10 years?
I don't know but I would hope to have a job that incorporates all my skills
(modeling , acting, writing, skincare) and be very, very successfull. Thank you
Kyle for featuring me!!!!
