KTFLSunshine Interview
Hello Katie, I'm flattered you
accepted to be interviewed for THE HUQ!, to start this interview off, please
give me some background information.
Greetings, I want to thank you for this opportunity. I'm KTFLSunshine a
glamour/urban model located in Tampa, FL. Florida fits my active lifestyle. I
enjoy watching and participating in sports. My ethnicity is Croation/Lithuanian.
I enjoy travelling and I often travel by myself. I enjoy meeting people. You
could say I am quite the extrovert and very adventurous. The grass does not grow
under my feet!
How did you initially decide to get into modeling?
Fashion has always been a large part of my life. My mother was a dress designer.
I have very fond memories dressing up in her creations and strutting my stuff on
a pretend catwalk... smiling
What was the catalyst to you making this decision?
As a teenager, I was approached by a department store to do some fashion shows.
I loved it because I received discounts on my clothes. I then had a photoshoot
and I was told I had a million expressions and a universal look.
At 45 years of age, what made you want to relaunch your modeling
career?
Honestly, it is two-fold. Modeling has always been a burning passion inside of
me, however, I am very curvy and as a youth my physique was not accepted. But
now
is my time..... the industry has changed. Secondly, I am a business woman. I see
there is an opportunity to make money!!!!
What has 2010 been like for you in terms of modeling work?
Giggling....You realize, it has only been 5 weeks into relaunching and I have
had such a positive response. The flood gates are opening for me. I only
envision success. wink..
Eye candy and Modeling, is there a difference to you?
Most definitely there is a difference. Eye candy to me always infers
sexuality/sensuality. Where as modeling encompasses fashion, promotional
advertising, and products. Modeling is more diverse.
Define what being sexy is to you?
Sexy to me is Sophia Lauren, Raquel Welch, Mae West, and Marilyn Monroe to
name a few. These women all portrayed confidence and Independence. As I
attribute my sexiness to my SWAG! Men love a confident feminine woman.
Do you consider yourself a MILF/Cougar?
I'm laughing because I did not know the meaning of these labels until a few
years ago. When I heard them, I laughed because I am a single parent with two
boys. I hear is that your mom... Let me put it this way, I have my fair share of
younger admirers.
KT, you are a testament that women are at their sexiest in their 40s. You have a
refined, voluptuous physique that I've seen that elicits a high degree of
pleasure from one's aesthetic senses, so I'm curious to know what does your diet
and exercise regimen consist of?
Well, I will be honest, I work very hard at it. I keep a healthy lifestyle.
Lot's of water, I eat low glycemic meals and exercise five times a week using
formula 55. My friend created this program that consists of 55 reps per
exercise. Let me tell you, you will feel the burn. Also, I meditate and live a
stress free lifestyle. I wont have negativity around me.
Women with nice bodies and cute faces are notorious for being brainwashers (you
know the saying "never trust a nice shape and a smile" ). Are there times you've
used your voluptuousness to manipulate men or situations to your advantage? If
so, can you give us an example?
Smiling ofcourse. I do not know a woman who has not used their sex appeal.
Within a month of each other, I was pulled over for exceeding the speed limit. I
was able to get a warning to slow down for both of them.
Have you had any surgery to complete your look?
I have NOT had any cosmetic surgeries or fillers. I have been blessed.
However, I do not frown upon enhancing your image. There may be a day I will
have cosmetic surgery.
What do you consider your best features?
I believe my best features are my lips and my butt. I love my assets..
How would you describe the image that comes across when people look at your
photos?
Hopefully, an intelligent sensual classy lady.
What experience do you value more and attain more personal satisfaction from as
a model: the creative process behind an intimate collaboration with a talented
photographer, make-up artist and/or designer OR seeing the reaction from your
family, friends and fans as they bare witness to the finished product?
By far, the reaction from family and friends. They have been my support cast and
I value their opinion. They are a large part of the motivation too. They
encouraged me to go for my dream!!!
There are a lot of misconceptions or stereotypes about glamour models. Does that
stigma follow you?
Unfortunately, that is our society. Too many closed minded individuals.
Immediately they are placing labels on you for showing skin as opposed to seeing
the beauty in the human body. I believe that stigma follows all glamour models
it doesn't matter who you are!
But you're aware of the misconceptions. Which would you say is the worst?
Absolutely, I am aware. For me, I am a blonde so the misconception is I am dumb
and easy...Only if they knew I graduated Magna cum Laude.
What is controversial and unique about you?
I will not accept rejection. Agencies have told me I'm too old. My response was
"Is age a metric for looking sexy?"... "Does a 25 year old glamour model look
any sexier than me?" that is my debate. I just know they are missing an
opportunity. I'm unique because I am me!!!
What would you say sets you apart from other women in the same field, with
similar goals?
My age and maturity. Photographers responses have been very positive. They enjoy
working with me because I am punctual and serious about making a name and they
will get my undivided attention.
Do you place any limitations on yourself in terms of what you will and will not
do in this industry to succeed, or do you have a 'by any means necessary I will
get mine in the 21st century' attitude?
I am a classy lady with standards. I am building my image and I will be
selective on what projects I will choose. My faith, hardwork, and determination
will bring me success.
For all of the people, photographers, agencies and companies seeing you for the
first time who will want to gain more information about you, tell them where
they can go to see and read about some of your past, present and future
projects?
You may keep up to date with me at my website KTFLSUNSHINE.com and twitter
@KTFLSUNSHINE. I was recently featured in realrapnews.com, eyehoney.com and am
featured in hustlebunny.com (currently, I am rated #3...which brings me joy
sense im featured amongst beautiful 20 something ladies...please cast your vote
while your there...wink wink). Football is my passion and I am working on a
pin-up poster to be produced this fall season. I have a photoshoot for a
magazine this weekend. I'm very pleased thus far how the industry is embracing
me and I am looking forward to bringing you more so please stay tuned.....
