Hi Melissa, can you introduce yourself to our readers? Hi my name is Melissa Dawn Taylor, I am Playboy model, singer and Songwriter

Have you always wanted to be a model?How did you get involved in modeling?

Actually, I never thought of being a model. I used to get bodypainted for jobs here and there but that's it. I'm very comfortable doing live promotions but I never had the desire to do it full time. One promotional job landed me an opportunity to meet Hugh Hefner at his Mansion and I became close friends with him and all the other girls that lived there. Shortly after I moved into the Playmate house, I was asked to test to become a Playboy Cyber model for the show "Girls Next Door". I happily accepted and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was introduced to the modeling world and I love it.

Now everyone sees all the glamour, but nobody sees the hard work put into being an official model. Can you tell us whats a days grind for you is like?

 Being in the spotlight keeps you on your toes. I have to be ready at any given moment for red carpets, photoshoots and interviews. It's a lot of work because videos and photographs are forever and I always want to look and sound my best. It really motivates me to keep in shape because I'm always side by side with glamorous models and Playmates. I do a lot of yoga, tanning and constantly scheduling hair and makeup artists. That can get expensive.

You're really blessed with good genes - a pretty face and a wonderful voluptuous body-two qualities that are highly important in terms of helping you to secure modeling gigs. Tell us about your heritage (the origins of your beauty) a little bit.

My father is German/Irish and my mother is Swedish. You come from Southern Oregon .

What's the general reaction you're receiving back home now that you're a Playboy Cyber Girl?

All of my friends back home in Grants Pass, Oregon are really supportive and haven't changed a bit. People who don't know me really tend to judge, but I'm ok with that.

Melissa, you would have to be every guys' fantasy babe, you have a perfect skin tone, pretty face and a mind blowing body. What, if anything, do you dislike about being an in-demand beauty?

After I posed for Playboy some people treated me as if I did porn. I don't like some of the random filthy messages I tend to get. Don't get me wrong I love to flirt, but be classy about it. Another thing I don't like is when a bad photo of me gets posted online. Drinking and modeling don't go hand in hand.

How has your look evolved over the years?

I was really a shy ugly duckling all during school. Up until 2 years ago I didn't know how to do makeup or fix my hair. I was always a plain tom boy in jeans who didn't worry about those things because I was never in the spotlight. After diving into the model scene with Hugh Hefner and tons of Playmates I quickly learned!

Melissa, how would you describe the demand for your beauty particularly in the modeling industry? How fierce is the competition you confront with other perfect-bodied blond beauties?

I don't feel like I'm competing because I work as a model when I'm asked to. I don't model full time, but I can only imagine the competition out there. When I do get a call, I see it as fun and so thankful to be able to work next to beautiful girls.

Your pictures are generally sexy, unique and original. Where does your creativity come from, and how do you choose the theme for each photoshoot?

Since I'm an aspiring singer songwriter I usually just work as a model when asked to, so everything is usually all set up. What do you love about being photographed? I have always been comfortable nude, so I love to do those types of shoots if they’re tasteful.

How did you feel walking into your first playboy photoshoot?

It was amazing! I thought I would be uncomfortable because not only did I have the famous Playboy photographer Arny Fretag with his camera, but I had the whole production crew for "Girls Next Door" filming for the show. As soon as I took it all off it just felt natural and I had so much fun. It was very significant because Hugh Hefner hadn't been to the studio in a long time and he showed up and took us out to dinner.

How do you balance the "model" life with a normal and personal life?

 All of my friends are models and actresses so I'm pretty much smack dab in the middle of it all. I stay in Los Angeles when I have jobs up there and then I have a house in San Diego to come back to and get away from the scene. Since the two cities are completely different it totally balances me out.

At the moment, what are you passionate the most about in your life?

I'm a singer songwriter and have been collaborating with musicians through NFOCUS Entertainment Group. They're developing me as an artist and I should have my first single out in the spring. It's a long time dream of mine, that and acting. One thing at a time though.

This is for the guys, they have seen your name changed from Melissa Dawn Taylor to Melissa Dawn and they want to know, are you currently available or involved with someone?

My name is still Melissa Dawn Taylor. For the show "Girls Next Door" I dropped my middle name and went by Melissa Taylor. As soon as I was working more in Hollywood I found out there was a Melissa Taylor also in Playboy and one from the reality show Sunset Tan. People and agencies were getting me mixed up, so I dropped the Taylor and just use my first and middle name.

What are some of your upcoming projects? What would you consider your biggest accomplishment so far?

I've been working hard writing and producing songs and I'm set to have a single out by spring. I also do a little acting here and there and will focus on that more in the summer. My biggest accomplishment so far has been finding out who I really am and owning it..
