Hi Crystal, can you introduce yourself to our readers please? Who is
MissCriss805?
My full name is Crystal Alicia Rose Padilla but everyone knows me as Criss,
and I'm starting to hear "Miss Criss" a lot too, which I love. I'm a 25 yr old
single mom from Palm Desert Ca but I've been living in Santa Barbara for the
past 13 years, so I definitely consider Santa Barbara my home (hence the 805).
How did you get involved in modeling?
Well, when I was younger my main interest was singing. From elementary up
till junior high I was Singing in a church choir and performing in musicals.
This led to acting, taking classes, performing improve and scripted plays in
Santa Barbara and Hollywood. Modeling eventually came into the picture when I
was 16, based off all the exposure acting got me. I took a break in 2006 when I
had my daughter and didn't pick back up until the end of 2010, but I've been
going hard ever since.
Now everyone sees all the glamour, but nobody sees the hard work put into
being an official model. Can you tell us whats a days grind for you is like?
I'd love to be able to be a full time model, but because I go to
school, intern and have a 5yr old daughter, I can't. But whatever little time I
have left I direct into modeling and acting, driving to LA for auditions,
shoots, and gigs. Just in 2011 I've: done 8 different shoots, filmed and
appeared on Bravo's The Millionaire Matchmaker, HDnet's Celebridate, filmed an
episode of EXCUSED for CBS which will be airing on VH1 this year, became the
featured model for Concrete Royalty Clothing, appeared in my first music video
(Far East Movement's "Jello") and went to my first event at the Playboy Mansion.

What, if anything, do you dislike about being a glamour model?
The travel definitely takes a toll. I live in Santa Barbara and
driving to LA is at least a 2hr endeavor. Plus I'm always rushing to go down
there and back, because I have so many responsibilities here in Santa Barbara. 4
hrs of driving and gas in the horrible traffic for a 10 min audition almost
doesn’t seem worth it, until you hear you booked the job, then it was definitely
worth it!
MissCriss805, I must say you are a phenomenal beauty. How has your look
evolved over the years and if you took a sheet of paper and a pencil, what would
you list as the assets you have that you're proud to own? What do you think is
your fans favorite body part on you & why?
Thank you! If you look at my modeling pics from age 16 till now you won't
really notice a differerence. Even now, some people mistake me for 18 or 19. I'm
proud to say I have nice skin, which is why people assume I'm younger. I'm also
proud say I'm not a stick figure, I'm a curvy Latina and I wouldn't have it any
other way! I tend to get a lot of compliments on my skin, eyes, lips and
breasts. I like that my natural features are what my fans notice the most. I
didn't go to a doctor's office to get big brown eyes or long eyelashes, anybody
can get nipped, tucked and enlarged to get noticed.

How do you keep your skin so smooth?
All the women in my family have the most amazing skin, so I have to thank
my Spanish genes for that! But I take Biotin, exfoliate, cleanse, tone,
moisturize, get facials, eat my veggies and drink my water and always wear SPF.
The WORKS!
What advise would you have for any aspiring models that want to do
modeling?
'KEEP IT PUSHIN'! There were so many times where I wanted to stop. Having a
baby had people telling me that I'm a mom now and I shouldn't even bother, or
when I'd be so exhausted from driving down and back to LA and knowing I'd have
to do it all over again the next day. But I refuse to look back later in life
and think what if? If that's your dream then give it all you got, you only live
once.
What are your goals in the industry?
I plan on getting back to my acting roots. Acting has always been my main
passion, modeling was just a plus. If I can go from reality TV to an occurring
role on a sitcom that would be amazing, I even have my sights set on being on
the big screen and walking that red carpet. The sky's the limit for me!
