Interview: Sandy Gabriel Sandy Gabriel is an actress and model from Toronto, Canada. We recently caught up with Sandy for an exclusive interview. Check out what she had to say..
Hi Sandy, can you introduce yourself to our readers please? Who is Sandy
Gabriel?
Ambitious, and quite the workaholic. I work hard, and play even harder! I love cars, UFC, and modeling of course! cars, UFC, and modeling of course! For all of the readers thinking to themselves right now "like, where did I see her before" let them know some of the videos you have done? I haven't been in any music videos yet, but it is definitely something I am interested in and plan on trying. What was your first step into the world of glamor modeling? Iwas 17 years old, and signed with an agency in Montreal, QC. I did a few local shoots, then stopped modeling for a bit, as I was busy with school and work. Not too long after though, I went freelance and things have been great ever since! What has 2010 been for you in terms of modeling (magazine appearances, films, commercials, party hosting etc) work? I've done a few website features as well as several newspaper appearances! Oh, and went to the Playboy casting in Toronto! What stereotypes about models do you feel are unfairly placed on you? That we're nothing more than a pretty face. That we're all girly and ditzy. Recently, Sandy, I have found that you are becoming a go-to model. What is the secret of your success? I've worked very hard for it all, and I never stop. I just keep going and going...like the Energizer bunny! What, if
anything, do you dislike about being a in-demand model?Sometimes the attention can be a bit overwhelming. It's a love-hate relationship sort of thing! I love modeling, but I just sometimes wish I could lay low. A lot of people live their lives vicariously through celebrities. You, being a profiled individual within the pop culture, are envied and loved by many. If there was one truth that everyone should know about celebrities - what would it be? That in the end, we're just like everyone else. We're only human afterall. How has your look evolved over the years and if you took a sheet of paper and a pencil, what would you list as the assets you have that you're proud to own? Over the years I have become more feminine with my look and I truly appreciate beauty and being versatile with my look...I'll always be a tomboy at heart though! Sandy, your beauty is rare and intoxicating. How would you describe the demand for your beauty in the modeling industry? How fierce is the competition you confront with other beauties? The demand and competition never end! I love the challenge though! You seem very healthy and happy in your photos. How would you describe a healthy lifestyle? This could include relationships, outlooks on life, diet and exercise..? I do yoga, that's about it. I'm not into restricting myself from eating certain food or crazy diets. I do eat lots of fruits and vegetables, because I love the taste...the fact that they're healthy for you is just like a bonus to me! Most guys only dream about dating a super hot model. What advice do you have to give them about meeting / dating someone of your calibre? Just be yourself. Don't try to impress us with silly things or what you've got. A simple and genuine approach is best in my opinion. We’ve noticed that you have quite a following online. How important is it for you to stay in touch with your fans online? Very! Without the fans, we're nothing. I actually just made a Facebook, and it's been a great way to keep in touch with them. What are some of your upcoming projects? Lots of shoots, and two very big projects that I'm very excited about, but can't say much about them yet. One of them involves a painting, and the other is a book I'm going to be in. Lastly, what are
your plans for the future?I live my life one day at a time, so whatever the future brings, I am ready to take it on! I would love to continue modeling and take things from there. Besides that, some of my personal upcoming plans include a trip to Calgary, Alberta, as well as NYC and Vegas! Also, I currently drive a 2004 BMW, but am planning on buying a newer one, as well as a motorcycle in summer 2011. Sandy Gabriel http://www.facebook.com/officialsandygabriel www.sandygabriel.com
