Interview: Tana Marie

Tana Marie is a ravishing beauty. Our interview with her takes you through various facets of her unique background and career as an international glamour model. One thing is sure: Tana is irresistible!

Tana-Marie

Hi Tana, can you introduce yourself to our readers please? Who is Tana Marie?

Hi everyone, My name is Tana! I am originally from Kentucky but now live in beautiful San Diego,CA! I am a Nurse, Freelance Artist and I coach Little League Baseball...believe it!

How did you get involved in modeling?

I have always been a "camera hog". As a little girl, I was always posing for the camera. I have an athletic, curvy figure with a big booty so I never thought it would be possible to do any form of modeling until now. I took some pictures and sent them into a casting. Thats where it all started.

Have you come across any barriers and to what would you contribute your success?

I always have a Positive Attitude with all my experiences which has helped in dealing with the different people and sides to the industry. As long as your business ethic and attitude are in the right places you can always succeed at anything you want to do.

Tana-MarieTana, you would have to be every guys' fantasy babe, you have a perfect skin tone, beautiful face and sculpted body. What, if anything, do you dislike about being an in-demand beauty?

First of all thank you for the compliments. The crude, sexual and explicit come-ons get annoying, but its part of the territory, you just have to ignore it. Via the ignore, delete, block and unfollow buttons etc. (giggles) Aside from that it is very flattering. I am always thankful for the compliments since beauty will eventually fade. I am very grounded, because I hate the "snotty" stuck up types that let their beauty go to their head and they become mean.

How has your look evolved over the years and if you took a sheet of paper and a pencil, what would you list as the assets you have that you're proud to own?

I dont think its my look that has evolved as much as the confidence I have in myself. I grew up in a small town where "skinny" was the popular girl form. I was always thicker with a nice, big, round butt. Which I hated then, but LOVE it now! So, its has been an Amazing time to see the Urban Modeling Industry do what they are doing for curvy woman like me.

Tana, how do you maintain your toned body?

I grew up an athlete, playing basketball and volleyball so I was always in shape. As I got older I have continued to workout on a regular basis with lots of weight training and cardio. I try to eat right even thought I do LOVE chocolate!

How would you describe the image that comes across when people look at your photos?

I would hope the image that comes across is Sexy, Classy and Confident. I realize I am attractive with or without the makeup and the photographers magic so for me this just makes me feel even more beautiful.

Tana-MarieWhat experience do you value more and attain more personal satisfaction from as a model: the creative process behind an intimate collaboration with a talented photographer, make-up artist and/or designer OR seeing the reaction from your family, friends and fans as they bare witness to the finished product?

I think it is a combination of both. Being a Fine Artist myself, I love to see others doing what they love when putting together their vision in the creative process. I love to be made over into their creation and perform for the camera. The satisfaction of seeing how the hardwork turned out definitely comes from seeing the finished product.

There are a lot of misconceptions or stereotypes about glamour models. Does that stigma follow you?

At this point I haven't had any negative feedback. I have had to answer no to Am I a porn star? Am I a stripper/dancer? etc. but I have always maintained my integrity. I won't compromise myself with certain situations that would tarnish my image or my family.

What was 2010 like for you in terms of work (party hosting, magazines covers & appearances, films, music videos etc)?

& In 2010, I was a featured Web Gem for SHOW magazine where I started this journey, hosted several parties and.. now in 2011 you will just have to stay tuned...(*wink*)

How do you balance the "model" life with a normal and personal life?

I keep my priorities where they need to be. It's all a balance of time and managing that time to the best of my abilities with what it is I want to achieve. I have a full time career, family and so far I have been doing a great job at keeping it all running smoothly. I won't jeopardize my personal well being for any amount of glory in this game.

What are some of your upcoming projects? What would you consider your biggest accomplishment so far?

I can't give away all the secrets! But just being able to do what I am doing is a accomplishment in itself. I will enjoy every second of it!!

Lastly, where do you see yourself in 5 - 10 years?

my motto "Live, Laugh, Love!" and thats what I will do no matter where I am!
